'Triangle of Sadness' e un film greu de descris. In esenta o satira, are elemente comedice, dar si dramatice, cu un mesaj puternic ce nu incearca sa fie subtil. Bine jucat de echipa mare de actori, bine gandit si cu un dialog bogat in subtilitati.

'Triangle of Sadness' is a difficult film to describe. Essentially a satire, it has comedic but also dramatic elements, with a strong message that doesn't try to be subtle. Well acted by the whole extended team of actors, well thought out and with a dialogue that's rich in subtleties.

Final Destination (2000)

Un adolescent debarca avionul clasei sale pentru Franta in urma unei viziuni ce i-a aratat un accident, si cei ce l-au urmat incep sa moara in accidente bizare unul dupa unul.

'Final Destination' este inceputul istet al unei francize populare de filme horror supranatural. Departe de a fi perfect, filmul are cel putin originalitate in abundenta si o echipa de actori a generatiei cunoscute si populare din anii 2000. Mortile sunt ingenioase si scenaristii au incercat din greu sa ne faca asteptarile pline de suspans, ironie si surprize.

Final Destination (2000)

A teenager leaves his class' plane for France after a vision that showed him an accident, and those who followed him out begin to die in bizarre accidents one by one.

'Final Destination' is the clever start to a popular supernatural horror film franchise. Far from being perfect, the film at least has plenty of originality and a team of actors from the well-known and popular generation of the 2000s. The deaths are ingenious and the screenwriters tried hard to make our expectations full of suspense, irony and surprises.

Love Wedding Repeat (2020)

Two versions of the same wedding where Jack found a special girl and also tries to be a good brother to the bride.

'Love Wedding Repeat' is a comedy version of Sliding Doors, in which the same event has two versions, one disastrous and one less so. Interesting enough to use the opportunity for some relaxing time spending.

Tucker and Dale vs Evil (2010)

Tucker and Dale are mistaken for some dangerous criminals by a group of students.

'Tucker and Dale vs Evil' is a horror comedy that mocks the tendency of some slashers to use stereotypes for both attackers and victims. It has many good moments, but it is not the promised masterpiece.

Somersault (2004)

A teenager runs away from home into the Australian mountains and lives through experiences that teach her the nuances of feelings.

"Somersault" is a diaphanous drama, which very subtly shows us different phases and layers of female growing up. With imperfect, even unwanted experiences, mixed with subtle understandings and experiences, Abbie Cornish impresses incredibly in the main part.

The Woman in the Window (2020)

An agoraphobe witnesses a crime in the across the street neighbor's house.

'The Woman in the Window' is a thriller, adapted from a popular book, like many genre titles of the last 10 years. Amy Adams is worth watching, but many of the situations are a bit too pathetic to be taken seriously. The movie isn't terrible, but it isn't great either.

Good on Paper (2021)

Andrea focused on her stand-up career all her life and when an intelligent, decent and suitable guy appears, he seems too good to be true.

'Good on Paper' is an anti-romantic comedy. The main character is the only multidimensional character with some appeal, the comedy is a bit cringe, and the situation is unbelievable in an annoying way, because it'd be very strange to get that far in real life.

The Rental (2020)

Two couples rent a vacation home, but hidden truths come out unexpectedly.

'The Rental' is an interesting thriller. With few characters, the intimate and constrained environment of the rented house, the film quickly moves from the ideal vacation atmosphere, to eyebrow raising  choices of activities and unexpected reactions, then to an alert and fast pace due to the snowball effect style of revelations.

Fate: The Winx Saga (2021–2022)

Bloom goes to a special school for fairies, after accidentally causing a fire in her parents' house.

'Fate: The Winx Saga' is a live-action adaptation of a cartoon. You don't have to be a fan to enjoy it, in fact it's probably recommended to not be because the fans weren't.. fans. For those who like fantasy and schools for magic, this series is not a bad choice. The cast is almost exclusively British, including language and behavior. The plot is not the most interesting or original, but the characters and their interaction have that little something special.

O adolescenta fuge de acasa si in muntii australieni traieste experiente ce o invata nuantele sentimentelor.

'Somersault' e o drama diafana, ce ne prezinta foarte subtil diferite faze si substraturi ale maturizarii feminine. Cu experiente imperfecte, ba chiar nedorite, amestecate cu realizari si trairi subtile, Abbie Cornish impresioneaza incredibil in rolul principal.

'The Woman in the Window' este un thriller, ecranizare dupa o carte populara, ca multe din titlurile de gen din ultimii 10 ani. Amy Adams merita vizionata, dar multe din situatii sunt un pic poate cam patetice pentru a fi luate in serios cum trebuie. Filmul nu e groaznic, dar nici minunat.

Andrea s-a concentrat pe cariera de stand-up iar cand un tip inteligent, cumsecade si potrivit apare, pare prea bun ca sa fie adevarat.

'Good on Paper' e o comedie anti-romantica. Personajul principal e singurul personaj multidimensional si cu oarece appeal, comicul este un pic cringe, iar situatia este incredibila intr-un mod enervant, deoarece e foarte ciudat sa se ajunga atat de departe in realitate.

Doua cupluri inchiriaza o casa de vacanta, dar adevaruri ascunse ies la iveala in mod neasteptat.

'The Rental' e un thriller interesant. Cu putine personaje, mediul intim si limitat in casa inchiriata, filmul trece repede de la aerul ideal de vacanta, la ridicatul din spranceana in urma alegerilor de activitati si reactiile neasteptate, apoi la un ritm alert si rapid datorat dezvaluirilor tip bulgare de zapada.

Five friends sign up as counselors at a summer camp in 1984.

Season 9 of AHS is based on the style of 80's slasher movies. In order to try and fill an entire season with something so mundane and usually short-lived, the creators mixed the style with a bit of supernatural, twists, and 3 different serial killers, each with their own agenda. More interesting than expected but not enough to make the season worth it.

Wonder Woman must fight against the consequences of the power of an ancient wish-granting artifact.

'Wonder Woman 1984' is probably the last film in the series, not very seriously made and yet entertaining. Kristen Wiig seems to be playing herself and Pedro Pascal seems to be having a lot of fun. Gal Gadot is obviously very serious.

Moon Knight (2022)

Steven discovers that he has multiple personalities, including a Marc who has supernatural powers goven to him by an Egyptian god.

'Moon Night' is a series from the Marvel universe, which does not seem to have any direct connection with the rest of the well-known heroes. Original, often comical, the series manages to be attractive without being boring - unlike the bigger movies.. Oscar Isaac is wonderful in the role with multiple and very different personalities.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022)

Mourning the death of T'Challa, Wakanda must defend itself against a similar force, hidden in the depths of the ocean.

"Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" is an action movie with superheroes from the Marvel family. It follows the story of Black Panther as it was written after the death of the original actor (Chadwick Boseman). Interesting effects, an earth-bound, not quite  monotonous fantasy, there is a need for filler films too.
