Andrea focused on her stand-up career all her life and when an intelligent, decent and suitable guy appears, he seems too good to be true.
'Good on Paper' is an anti-romantic comedy. The main character is the only multidimensional character with some appeal, the comedy is a bit cringe, and the situation is unbelievable in an annoying way, because it'd be very strange to get that far in real life.
