Resident Evil (2022)

Three decades after the discovery of the T virus, a pair of twins find themselves in the middle of a conspiracy that continues unjustly.

'Resident Evil' is a series with a new idea that takes place in the universe created by the long series of films with Milla Jovovich and the much-loved series of video games. And instead of being welcomed with open arms for the the bit of originality and realness inoculated into an over-tired franchise, the public attacked the effort and that resulted in a premature cancellation.

The Walking Dead - Season 9 (2018-2019)

Rick's group thrives after the war with The Saviors, then Rick becomes a memory and 6 years later The Whisperers become their most feared threat.

Season 9 of 'The Walking Dead' is a very fragmented mix. With about a third of the season dedicated to the group still under Rick's leadership, the season is then followed by Rick's disappearance and a time leap of 6 years up to the introduction of the new threat, which is then followed by the usual developmental structure (as the faithful audience was accustomed to), and a shocking ending. As usual, the moments of action and suspense are very effective, the filler episodes are annoying and the curiosity of the die-hard fans remains constant enough to continue even after the departure of Rick, their usual favorite.

Army of the Dead (2021)

In the middle of a zombie apocalypse, a team of mercenaries ventures in the middle of a very affected Las Vegas for a mission of financial interest.

A blockbuster action film in the purest sense of the word, that is, it is visually impressive (lots of special effects and explosions), but does not give importance to logic or lack of predictability. Interesting and impressive is the seamless digital manipulation of the scenes with Tig Notaro due to them replacing Chris D'Elia post production (after allegations of sexual harassment).

#Saraitda / #Alive(2020)

A young man addicted to the modern world remains isolated in his family's apartment during the outbreak of a fatal virus.

A slightly different zombie movie. Within the multitude of options for the zombie genre, #Alive is innocent, honest and appealing through the realism of the human behavior and interesting interaction between the few survivors.

Cockneys vs Zombies (2012)

Two brothers rob a bank in the middle of a zombie epidemic.

Unpretentious comedy that is not interested in the horror genre but only in the situation comedy part of it and the opportunity to create a funny and interesting dialogue for fans of linguistic curiosities. The comic effect isn't amazing but the movie is fun enough.

Santa Clarita Diet (2017-2019)

A wife becomes a zombie and the whole family changes their lives in order to control and defend their new lifestyle.

A very effective black comedy series, well written and with characters that the viewer automatically likes. The chemistry of the whole family is indubitable, and the horror elements serve only to enhance the comic effect. Timothy Olyphant and Skyler Gisondo are the glue that support the whole team and also the sources of the best humor.

Unfortunately Netflix has decided that it will not continue with a fourth season, but the series will offer enough half hours of delight.

World War Z (2013)

Foarte suprinsa de alegerea lui Brad Pitt pentru un gen care nu il caracterizeaza, am ales acest film nestiind la ce sa ma astept. M-am delectat cu un film inteligent, plin de surprize dar si de clisee, fara ca mixul indoielnic sa lucreze in devafoarea ritmului alert, tensiunii optimiste, sau satisfactiei si curiozitatii pentru rezolvarea de puzzle-uri. Cu idei inovative si efecte impresionante, amatorii de filme inteligente dar si cei de blockbustere vor fi satisfacuti in aceeasi masura.
