Moon Knight (2022)

Steven discovers that he has multiple personalities, including a Marc who has supernatural powers goven to him by an Egyptian god.

'Moon Night' is a series from the Marvel universe, which does not seem to have any direct connection with the rest of the well-known heroes. Original, often comical, the series manages to be attractive without being boring - unlike the bigger movies.. Oscar Isaac is wonderful in the role with multiple and very different personalities.

Dune: Part One (2021)

A family is given the task of governing the planet that produces the most important natural resource, but the movement has ulterior motives and forces the heir of the family to assume early responsibilities.

'Dune: Part One' is the first part of a new adaptation of the beloved sci-fi novel. More modern and unrushed than David Lynch's version (or the TV version from the beginning of the century), the current film benefits from the presence of one of the most talented current directors, who has the patience and ambition necessary to do the seriesjustice. The cast is full of great talent, the cinematography is superb and the mystery and intrigue of the world building and its mysticism are fully given their due.

The Addams Family (2019)

The Addams family moves to the suburbs where the closeness to ordinary and conformists people in the area creates a growing conflict.

'The Addams Family' is an animated film that brings the tragi-comic family back to the screen. The new format is surprisingly appropriate, the black humor makes an appearance as expected, the story is not just superficial and touches on current social issues related to genuine and assumed identity, and the soundtrack is wonderful.

Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (2019)

Batalia dintre Jedi si Sith ajunge la final, cu revenirea unor dusmani vechi si descoperirea puterii abilitatilor ultimului Jedi - Rey.

Ultimul film din serie. In sfarsit, finalul. Un pic mai plin de continut fata de predecesorul si cu un pic mai mult suflet, Episodul IX a impresionat audienta ceva mai mult. Ca si in cazul episodului antecedent, raportul Rey-Kylo Ren si influenta lor reciproca este lipiciul si inima povestii, restul e umplutura.

Si saga continua... Episodul numarul 8, penultimul in seria Star Wars, urmeaza povestea de unde a ramas, dupa ce a introdus eroi si antieroi noi. Un film ce pare aproape de umplutura, in care nu mare lucru de importanta are loc. Pentru fanii aprigi ai seriei e probabil o urmare satisfacatoare, pentru restul, e un film ok ce nu impresioneaza prin alergatura continua, dar mentine curiozitatea sau macar interesul telului unui lucru bine terminat.

Triple Frontier (2019)

Cinci prieteni, fosti militari ai fortelor speciale, se reunesc pentru o misiune periculoasa independenta.

Un film de actiune bazat pe o poveste despre camaraderie, loialitate si recunoastere a valorii. Cei cinci actori au o chimie palpabila si prietenia lor este convingatoare si fac prima jumatate a filmului destul de interesanta. Realitatile crude ale vietii ce au afectat personajele sunt plauzibile si usor de a utiliza in justificarea actiunilor din a doua jumatate a filmului. Un film satisfacator pentru amatorii de actiune, ceva mai adanc decat majoritatea genului.
