War On Everyone (2016)

Two corrupt and ignorant policemen begin to investigate a criminal who seems to be more dangerous than themselves.

'War On Everyone' is an atypical comedy. Without being a parody, it is still full of exaggerated situations and manages to entertain the viewer very effectively by offering a couple of anti-heroes with whom you do not have to agree. Humor is highlighted at every step, almost passively but everpresent.

Director:  John Michael McDonagh
With: Alexander Skarsgård, Michael Peña, Theo James, Tessa Thompson, Caleb Landry Jones, David Wilmot, Paul Reiser

Thor: Love and Thunder (2022)

Thor fights alongside his former partner Jane against the god-slayer Gorr.

'Thor: Love and Thunder' is the latest adventure in the Marvel franchise with Thor as the protagonist. Under the direction of Taika Waititi again, the current film fails to reuse the same recipe as Ragnarok with the same success, perhaps because instead of using a ridiculousness exaggerated in an artistic and humorous way, the final effect is just pure ridiculousness.

With: Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, Tessa Thompson, Russell Crowe

Men in Black: International (2019)

The most efficient Man in Black and the latest recruit team up in order to discover the identity of a double agent.

A reboot of the Men in Black series with new and popular faces of recent years. I didn't pay that much attention to parts 2 and 3 of the old version, but even if Emma Thompson and Liam Neeson appear in the modern version, it almost seems blasphemous not to see Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones again as the main figures. This film has nothing special, nothing at all, but it can be used as a time filler and very young kids will still love it.

Director:  F. Gary Gray
With: Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Kumail Nanjiani, Rebecca Ferguson
