Madres paralelas /Parallel mothers (2021)

Two mothers in different stages of life give birth on the same day and create an unconventional bond.

'Madres paralelas' is a dramatic film by Almodóvar. It's full of human interactions and rich dialogue and some unconventional elements like all of his films, but it remains mostly uninspired and too much like Hallmark movies or the like.

A woman reacts to the fact that her partner left her, leaving his cases and dog behind.

'La Voz Humana' is a very intense and effective dramatic short. Tilda Swinton is fascinating and carries the film with professionalism.

Carne trémula (1997)

Victor is shown to us in the few important events of his life: his birth, an important love conflict, and the return to normal life and freedom.

"Carne trémula" is a multi-layered drama that shows a variety of complex human relationships, affected by luck, bad timing and other consequences of being. As usual, the events are presented in the most raw, passionate and intense way possible, without offering a Hollywood-type fairy tale embellishment, and the development of the plot takes unexpected turns.

Dolor y gloria / Pain And Glory (2019)

Un regizor cu multe probleme de sanatate se izoleaza in amintiri si in lucrarile sale vechi.

Un film de Pedro Almodóvar ce contine stilul sau tipic (viata reala dar plina de activitate, culori si interactiune a multor personaje bine creionate) amestecat cu mai multa drama, nostalgie si note personale. Cu un Antonio Banderas foarte diferit dar in perfecta concordanta cu personalitatea obosita, obturata emotional, usor excentrica, melodramatica si tipicara a lui Salvador, filmul reuseste sa mentina interesul prin stil, oda placerilor mici ale vietii si prin portretizarile detaliate ale personajelor implicate.
