Villains (2019)

A couple breaks into an isolated house for an impromptu robbery, but what they find completely changes their next actions.

'Villains' is what they calle a dark comedy, with dramatic undertones. It has a subtle and dark humor, diverse and memorable characters and a group of well-chosen actors. The characters are well balanced, the term villain being chosen with a double meaning, representing exactly what you expect but also the fact that first impressions are deceiving. It's not a perfect movie, but it's perfectly suited to be enjoyed by fans of the genre or of the cast.

Directors:  Dan Berk, Robert Olsen
With: Bill Skarsgård, Maika Monroe, Blake Baumgartner, Jeffrey Donovan, Kyra Sedgwick

The Edge of Seventeen (2016)

Nadine goes through an identity crisis when her best friend starts dating her popular brother.

'The Edge Of Seventeen' is a pseudo-teen comedy-drama. The main character is a kind of hyperactive introvert who lives with the impression that everyone else knows who they are, what they're doing, what they want and what needs to happen and the coming-of-age of the character comes from the aquiring the awareness that no one is perfect and no one is born with a natural self-confidence. The arrogance of the character is often an element of annoyance (how many can say that they have so many benevolent people ready to jump to the rescue ??), but the film is a great success and may help some of us more "different" people to realize that we are all children just testing the waters.

Director:  Kelly Fremon Craig
With: Hailee Steinfeld, Haley Lu Richardson, Blake Jenner, Kyra Sedgwick, Woody Harrelson

Regia: Jonathan Mostow
Scenariul: Michael Ferris si John D. Brancato(scenariu);Robert Venditti si Brett Weldele    (graphic novel)

Gerard Butler e... Gerard Butler, dar aici impresionanta este prestatia lui Michael C. Hall, care in sfarsit patrunde in lumea profiturilor uriase, dupa ce realitatea TV a cucerit-o de ceva timp.

Regia:Mark Neveldine, Brian Taylor
Scenariul:Mark Neveldine, Brian Taylor
Cu: Gerard Butler, Michael C. Hall, Amber Valletta, Kyra Sedgwick, Alison Lohman
