Black Adam (2022)

Black Adam is released almost by accident after 5000 years of imprisonment for old sins.

'Black Adam' is an action film from the DC universe. The mythology is more interesting than other attempts, and the film should be praised for a bit of variety in the subject, even if it was not received with the most open arms. The film is satisfactory and does not deserve the many complaints of those who watched it.

Red Notice (2021)

Two seasoned art thieves and an Interpol agent keep getting on each other's toes in their attempt to find artifacts that once belonged to Cleopatra.

'Red Notice' is an action and adventure film woven with some comedy and humor. As expected, the presence of well-known names means expensive and and almost completely shallow film. This does not mean that it is at all unwatchable, because the entertainment it offers is still entertainment, no matter how superficial; the viewers' mental health also needs some quality superficialities here and then.

The Other Guys (2010)

Two middle-level police officers are given the opportunity to show their potential when the most popular cop partners are killed in a stupid accident.

'The Other Guys' is an atypical police comedy in which Will Ferrell is not as unbearable as usual. The jokes are good, the stereotypes they make fun of are real and recognisable and the main partners manage to attract the hearts of the public. Mark Wahlberg is adorable.

Moana (2016)

Moana, a Polynesian princess, responds to an ancestral call in an attempt to undo the curse triggered by the Demigod called Maui.

'Moana' is a Disney movie that tries to combine more modern feminine (and not only) goals with the classic recipe for stories with princesses and princes. And it succeeds wonderfully, in a beautiful film about the pursuit of one's dreams and talent, with memorable music which easily reaches its emotional goals.

Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw (2019)

In a reality where artificially augmented humans exist, Hobbs and Shaw are forced to work together to stop such a villain who wants to seize a dangerous biological weapon.

'Hobbs & Shaw' is part of the now very large 'Fast & Furious' family. Less ridiculous than the original film series, and somewhat more diversified in terms of plot and characters, this film is successful in what it aims to be, namely a modern and entertaining action film. The names of the cast do not include only actors known for action roles (like Idris Elba and Vanessa Kirby - recently nominated for Oscars and Bafta) and that helps a lot, especially since they are not only given just some monochrome roles.

Fighting with My Family (2019)

O familie intreaga traieste de pe urma spectacolelor mici de wrestling pe care le organizeaza, dar fiica familiei primeste o sansa in plus de deveni celebra in domeniu.

Fighting With My Family e un film de familie, pe jumatate comedie, pe cealalta drama biografica. Amprenta regizorului neasteptat in persoana lui Stephen Merchant se simte in dialog si comicul de situatie din prima jumatate de film, accentul fiind pus pe biografia adevaratei Paige, ignorand suisurile si coborasurile carierei sale, asa cum au urmat dupa actiunea din film.

Southland Tales (2006)

Un actor cu legaturi politice ce sufera de amnezie scrie un scenariu de film ce coincide cu o conspiratie reala.

Un film satiric ce aminteste de The Fifth Element, Brazil sau Mars Attacks! Lipsa de popularitate s-ar putea explica prin lipsa de "lipici" al povestii inchegate pentru a lega toate elementele incompatibile sau prin dezamagirea fanilor unor fete indragite in a-si vedea idolii in roluri complet diferite de sablonul lor obisnuit. In ciuda acestora, filmul cumva functioneaza si are sens, mai ales daca devii familiar cu intentiile initiale ale regizorului. Acesta si-a dorit a scrie si regiza o satira ce critica contextul politic al vremii (cu accent pe specificul Americii): libertati civile, securitatea statului, obsesia pentru celebritati, salvarea ecosistemului. Povestea este complexa, adesea incoerenta si totusi consistenta, si atrage tocmai prin originalitate si lipsa completa de predictibil precum si prin multele contraste oferite de rolurile atipice acordate multimii de fete cunoscute.

Se pare ca este si primul film in care The Rock este prezentat cu numele sau real.

Un film cu o intriga ridicola de la care stii bine dinainte la ce sa te astepti, ceea ce este si ceea ce producatorii au intentionat. Amatorii de blockbustere distractive bazate pe fapte stiintifice exagerate si indivizi diferiti de oamenii de zi cu zi au avut parte de ce au dorit si au transformat filmul intr-unul de succes.
