Netflix's current attempt to give it a new, more modern air for the TikTok generation is not popular amongst fans of the classic , but the effort is admirable, especially in view of the fact that it succeeded, because the new generation of readers do not have a taste for Austen, a modern film adaptation could not have tried to follow the same style.
