The experience of the parents' divorce becomes a different kind of experience after the mother dies and returns as a ghost.
'Separation' is a horror film with an interesting idea. With an execution inspired by the Gothic but also modern style, the film manages to capture and keep one's attention, even if it is full of imperfections. The direction of the story is not what beginning of the story suggested it would be.
