Fallout (2024-)

In a post-apocalyptic Los Angeles, a naive woman who lived isolated in a bunker, a cowboy who's genetically modified by radiation and a soldier belonging to a cult intersect in their continuous adventures.

'Fallout' is a screen adaptation of a famous and much loved video game. It takes an often used context and creates some memorable characters that interact in an intriguing way, enough to promise a riveting season 2. The actors are perfectly chosen and the script is intelligent, although the first season was dedicated to building up the portrayals of the main characters.

House of 1000 Corpses (2003)

Two couples travel through the USA in search of urban legends and find themselves trying out Captain Spaulding's museum and fun rides.

'House of 1000 Corpses' is a demented horror movie under the direction of the famous Rob Zombie. It uses a lot of gore and very graphic scenes, the humor is also present to some extent but poor, and somehow it does not help the audience forget the fatalistic tone and feel and the complete lack of hope and any positive element.

Director:  Rob Zombie
With: Sid Haig, Karen Black, Bill Moseley, Sheri Moon Zombie, Sid Haig, Walton Goggins, Matthew McGrory

Justified (2010–2015)

Raylan Givens is a US Marshal who's reassigned to the rural Kentucky area he comes from, as punishment for bending the rules during his Miami service.

An American action series that is much more than its covers suggest. For those who expect a new Walker - Texas ranger, Justified is so much more: it faithfully represents a way of life, with all the bad, good and ugly, it is a rich source of interesting dialogue, very entertaining,  and rich humor, both the subtle and less subtle kind, and it has a variety of well-written, well-characterized characters that are either in tune with the environment or extremely contrasting in the most satisfying way. The main character is an imperfect hero, the more so loved by the audience for this predilection he has for reinterpreting the law in his own way.

Director:  Adam Arkin, Jon Avnet and others
Production:  FX
Creator:  Graham Yost
Duration:  6 seasons of 13 episodes (44 minutes each)
With: Timothy Olyphant, Nick Searcy, Walton Goggins, Joelle Carter, Jacob Pitts, Natalie Zea, David Meunier, Jere Burns, Damon Herriman, Jeremny Davies, Kaitlyn Dever
