Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022)

An immigrant who has tax problems and a hard-to-maintain business discovers new possibilities after learning of the existence of other versions of herself based on different choices in her life.

'Everything Everywhere All at Once' is hard to describe, it has to be experienced. In principle, it is a sci-fi film with tragic-comic accents. It brings to the fore easily recognizable disappointments and the idea of an unfulfilled potential versus a new interpretation with a new viewpoint. It is a life lesson that makes you laugh copiously and not just once, that uses popular martial arts in a way that has never been done before. And Michelle Yeoh is adorable in a vulnerable new side like she's never shown us before.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021)

Shang-Chi must face his not-so-perfect past after his father tries by all means to find his way to a hidden mystical territory that will thus become vulnerable.

'Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings' is a mystical, superhero action movie set in the Marvel universe. As an action film, it is well thought out, original, multicultural, visually impressive, imaginative and fascinating enough. The martial art of Kung Fu done as it should be is well put into focus and is welcome in the far too prolific MCU.

Boss Level (2020)

Roy is stuck in a time loop where the same day takes place in exactly the same way and ends with Roy dying in various ways depending on what he does differently.

'Boss Level' is the sci-fi and action version of 'Groundhog Day'. I would sometimes liken it to 'Crank' if it weren't for the contradiction where the main character of this one loses more than a hundred times in order to get to change anything. It's modern, funny where humor has a place, the action is well done and the entertainment is of high quality.
Bonus: Mel Gibson, Michelle Yeoh and Naomi Watts appear in relatively unimportant roles.
